This past week has been a little crazy with Everly being really sick. Now that Ev is feeling better, she gave it to her big sister. Hopefully the sickness doesn't come back again this winter! Everly has felt better the past couple of days and has been so smiley and happy. She is full fledged crawling everywhere and is always itching to get down on the ground to do her thing.
The past 6 months has flown by. It really is hard to believe that she is already half a year old. It goes by so much quicker with baby #2 and I'm trying to soak up all baby things like bedtime snuggles since I know that babies don't keep. Although I'm so excited for her to get older too because it is so much fun!
Recap of Month 6:
- At the doctor last week when she was sick she was 16.8 pounds and 27.75 inches. That is way off the charts for height still and about 65 percentile for weight.
- Everly still has just her two bottom teeth that she got two months ago. I have a feeling her top two won't be too much longer.
- She is a crawling machine! She been able to get around easily for the past month which I still consider crawling, but last Tuesday I got home from work and she speedily crawled over with the whole hand after hand action.
- She loves her jumper! When you hold her in a standing position she tries to jump just like she's in her jumper and is so happy about it.
- She loves to play on the ground and will try to get down if you are holding her for too long. She also loves the hardwood or tile floors. We try to keep her on the rugs or carpet because she's not that good at sitting or crawling yet, but she always finds her way over the hardwood.
- She LOVES food. We started feeding her a while ago because she seemed interested and she eats whatever we give her. Last night was peas and she gobbled them all up. She's way more interested in eating food than Maddie ever was!
- One of her favorites things is playing in front of the full length mirror in our bedroom and talking to the baby on the other side.
- Last week her sleep was off because of being sick and not wanting to be laid down because of her ear infection. Other than that, she becoming an increasingly better sleeper. She is napping way better in her crib and is starting to have a bit of a routine with her naps.
- She goes to bed in her crib at night, but still loves to snuggle in Mom's bed for most of the night.
- She's still such a happy and easy going girl. She doesn't get too mad or upset about anything. She's even starting to be better in her car seat for small periods of time!
- She is obsessed with her big sister. She always crawls over to get into whatever Maddie is doing and lights up when Maddie comes in the room. I'm so excited for them to be best friends!
