Maddie is at such an incredibly fun stage right now! I LOVE it! She is constantly giggling, talking, and squealing! She is such a happy little girl.
She is always getting everything, but in a different way than a few months ago. She used to rip or chew everything she came into contact with. Now she is a lot more intentional about how she plays with her toys and examines every little thing in great detail. It is so cute to see the concentration on her face. Her concentration is usually accompanied with a funny grunt noise!
She discovered coloring this month and is perfectly content sitting with a crayon and paper scribbling away. She loves sitting at her little table coloring or reading a book. I was really nervous about her climbing up herself at first because she could easily fall off the chairs, but she is a pro at it now. She climbs up and gets down so easily. She also learned how to climb onto the couch which made me nervous at first, but she finally grasped what I've been teaching her for months now... how to get off backwards! She now turns around and slides off the couch, our bed, and can go down stairs by herself. No more worried mama!
No new words this month, but Lucy and Up have been used a lot more. Maddie has never been an overly chatty baby in general, but this month she has started to talk jibberish in full sentences to us. One of these days those sentences will mean something! She is turning into a little person and it is so fun!
Stats: Still a tall and skinny babe! Probably around 21 pounds.
Teeth: 8 teeth... no signs of any more at this point.
Favorite Foods: Chocolate and Trader Joe's Cheese Rockets
Favorite Toys: Balls, Crayons and Water Bottles
Likes: Swimming in Auntie Emily's pool, the sandbox, dancing, bath time with the faucet turned on
Dislikes: Hands getting wiped after dinner, getting her pen or crayons taken away
