Florida Take 2

I had a work meeting in Florida and thought it would be a perfect time to head down early and visit my little sister and brother in law again.  Ben wasn't able to come the first time, so he easily agreed to come along.  AJ got called up to New Britain the week before we got there though, but Ben had fun hanging with the girls during the trip!

Maddie is becoming such a pro at flying and we have it down to a science now.  The way down went perfect, but I was more worried about the way home because it was just going to be Ben and Maddie.   Ben is a rockstar daddy though and Maddie slept for most of the flight and was an angel while she was awake.  The old couple next to them on the plane had a great time playing with her!

We had such an amazing time in Florida.  We visited Emily's pool frequently, went to the beach a few times, ate lots of fro-yo and were pretty go-with-the-flow the whole 5 days.  The weather was great the whole trip and didn't seem as humid as when we went in April.  (Maybe because Minnesota isn't 30 degrees anymore?) Ben got sunburned on our first beach day during the 20 minutes it took to walk from the car and rent an umbrella, so he parked himself in the shade for the rest of the trip.   

Maddie's favorite part of the trip was rinsing off in the shower after the beach.  She would be perfectly content standing there all day if we let her.   She threw quite the tantrum when we tried to leave the shower area!  She loved seeing Auntie Em and her puppy cousin, Willa, again.   Willa warmed up to her a lot quicker this time!   We were sad to leave!
