The last month has been filled with so much fun August activities! Everly turning 1 (a post on her party soon!), swimming, walks to the lake, bike rides, the State Fair.... and the list could go on. This summer has been so great with Ben now only working a few weekends when he fills in and me working from home. This means our family of four can actually see each other for more than a few hours at a time! Now that our life is no longer in that working every weekend schedule, it is crazy to think that it was that way for over 5 years. There are definite pluses of it with the biggest being that the girls only needed childcare 2 or 3 days a week, but there are way more pluses of our current situation. I could go on and on about how great it is!
Today, Maddie started preschool and she will be gone 3 days a week. She is definitely ready for more structure and she talks about how excited she is for school. (It's at the same place she went once a day last year) She is such a sweetly shy girl when she first goes into new situations and it'll be the most days a week she's been gone, but I know she's going to love it. Everly is also going to have to get used to not having her big sis around to follow while she's gone!
