Holly Jolly Christmas

As you can tell, we've been MIA for a little while!  Ben, Maddie and I have been enjoying all our time together during Christmas vacation.  It has been incredible to not have many plans and just spend tons of time together as a family.

We spend Christmas Eve every year with my Mom's side of the family.  We always eat a yummy dinner of prime rib, tons of amazing appetizers and my grandma's famous Christmas cookies!  Maddie was the only little one there this year because my nieces and nephew were in Iowa, so she ate up all the attention.  She got a toy bike that she is obsessed with and got to play with my sister's new puppy, Willa.

We slept in a little on Christmas morning and then opened presents in bed with my little family.  It was perfect.  Christmas Day was spent at Ben's parents house.  Maddie and her cousins had a great time opening all their presents, even though Maddie liked the wrapping paper best.  It is crazy how much more full the car was with all of Maddie's fun toys!  I think she doubled her entire toy stash in one day!
