North Shore Part 2

Ready for more cabin pictures?  Ben, Maddie and I went up to Lutsen on Sunday because we were only a short drive away.  It was cold and rainy when we got there, but ended up getting sunny and warm!  We explored around the little town and rode the gondola to the highest point there.  At the top, we went for a short hike where Maddie only wanted to walk alone and wasn't interested in holding our hands. She was full of giggles and squeals as she ran around the trails! She loves the outdoors and couldn't be happier that it was finally nice out!

Monday turned out to be the nicest day, so we started the day down by Lake Superior.  It was chillier than we expected because of the cold wind off the lake, so we decided to go across the street to the Superior Hiking Trail instead.  It was literally a 20 degree difference from the lakeshore!   We were hanging out by the rapids for a while, but all Maddie and Elliot wanted to do was jump in.  So we found a small beach farther down the trail and let all of the kiddos swim.  They loved it!  You should've heard Maddie's scream when we took her out of the river to get dressed!

We had an amazing time up north with family and can't wait for next year!
