She was on cloud nine. She ran through the wet grass and then discovered the puddle on the driveway. She ran through it the first time and then looked to me as if she thought she was doing something wrong. The look that followed was pure elation knowing that she was getting permission to get soaking wet in the puddle. The next ten minutes were spent splashing away with a grin on her face that was quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. I think its time for some rain boots!

Rain Rain Go Away
It's been raining on and off in Minnesota for the past two weeks. Good for our grass... yes. Good for an antsy 14 month old... no. Maddie loves being outside and wants to spend every second out there now that she has had a taste of it. When we let the dogs in the backyard Maddie will sprint over to the door to try to get out too. Our backyard has been constantly wet for days and being cooped up inside is not Maddie's idea of fun. Cue laying on the floor screaming when the door shuts before she can escape. Last night it stopped pouring for a bit, so we decided to let Maddie go crazy in the wet yard.
